The CFO Playbook on Expense Management: How Finance Leaders Regain Control Over T&E

Original air date: October 27, 2017

Speaker: Calvin Harris Jr., CPA, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Harvin Consulting LLC
Moderator: Joe Fleischer, Editorial Director, Finance Channel, Argyle Executive Forum

Abstract

For many companies, corporate travel offers a great opportunity to build relationships and support growth. But left unmanaged, T&E expenses can undermine growth by bringing about a drain on revenue. The main reason companies are not able to maintain control over T&E expenses is that they continue to depend on manual processes to keep track of them. This Webcast will reveal how finance leaders can employ alternatives to manual processes to better manage T&E expenses.

Learning objectives include:

  • Evaluate existing expense management processes to identify risks of regulatory noncompliance;
  • Establish policies that support more comprehensive oversight in connection with employees' expenses;
  • Gain support among colleagues throughout their organizations for automating expense management; and
  • Enforce employees' compliance with external regulations and employers' policies when reporting expenses.
